precious

I have been working in on a series of intaglio prints 15 x 15 cms. This is a photo etching made with three different etching plates. Two of the portrait and one of the text. Why precious? The portrait is of my mother on her 90th birthday. The text is from the poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling which was an important text for my father when he was a far eastern prisoner of war in WW2 and subsequently for the whole family. The word 'hold' is made from a long gold muff chain (a family heirloom).
